SENIOR PORTRAIT WEEK// CELEBRATING H.S. SENIORS

Can't believe that I graduated high school 15 years ago… geez, am I really that old?  Well, as I've always heard my parents say, "you'll always feel young at heart."  :)  My wife and I always had a special connection with teens… well, that's how we even met!  My wife started working at a youth ministry that I used to volunteer for.  We both always loved to work with them and just simply talk and get to know them.  As we all know, teenage years are not the easiest.   There are so many decisions to make… decisions about friends, college, and of course, "what am I going to do for the rest of my life?"  There's a lot of pressure, but through the support of family and friends and of course the grace of God, we all somehow make it through.  Yes, just like anything in life, there are the challenges, but the joys definitely outweigh them.  I mean, how can you beat those times?  The "peak" of your life where you feel like you can conquer the world, dream of being a doctor, a rockstar, a rocket scientist, a songwriter… you name it, you feel like you can be it and many times, you do!  You're young and the world is all yours!  Now that I have own children, this special milestone hits home for me.  I hear everyday from parents with older children that the years go by fast, and they are so right!  They really do grow up and each milestone should be celebrated!  that's why I just love getting senior portrait inquiries.  If you know my wife and I, we just love to celebrate!  Every birthday, every "firsts", every moment is oh so precious.  I can't believe that one day, our kids will be celebrating their senior in high school and taking senior portraits.  I wonder what the trend of photography will be then?  Wow… just thinking about it makes me want to hold on to them tighter when they kiss you goodnight.  Well, we had the privilege to take some shots of these well accomplished, amazing high school seniors this year!  Below are three individuals who have already made such a positive impact in our world.  They each have a unique story, parents who dearly love them and have raised them well.  They all have their own dreams and will endeavor to overcome difficulties, but overcome they will and successfully and significantly live the purpose they were created with.  Many years are ahead of them and we only wish them the best.  Guys, thanks for giving me the honor to be a part of this special times in your lives.  I can't wait to see what's in store for you all as you step into the next chapter!  Hope you enjoy and treasure every shot for all the years to come!

DAO + QUANG//SUMMEROUR WEDDING

Isn't it interesting that people always think that there's nothing to do in the city that they live in?  Well, maybe not for you, but I am very guilty of this… Every time I think of Atlanta, I feel like there's nothing to do or nowhere to go.  But, when I think of cities that I've never been to, I can list countless things that I'd like to do.  But, ever since we've been in the wedding photography business, I've been proven wrong of that!  At every local, Atlanta wedding, I always discover a new place!  Restaurants, hotels, venues…. it's just so fun seeing new things and appreciating my home town more!  But, above all those things, I love the fact that my job gives me the pleasure of meeting new people.  You get to learn about these people… where they're from, what they do, why they do what they do, how they've met, what made them fall in love, what made them say "I do!"…. I'm really blessed to have an awesome job!  I think to be able to do what you love is just priceless.  All that to say, I'm so thankful that I got to meet Dao & Q.  They contacted us a year ago when they got referred by a college classmate.  I was so excited when they wanted to meet, but had to have patience in meeting them because they were in California.  But, the wait was worth it!  We met few months later on the weekend of Thanksgiving week when they came into town for the holidays, and we just bonded!  And here we are now how many months later sharing their wedding photos.  Planning a wedding is hard, but to do it long distance seems impossible to me, but Dao & Q did a fantastic job.  I mean, just look at these pictures and see all the details!  I'm just so impressed by some of our clients who plan their wedding from the other side of the country!  Huge props to you guys!  From getting ready to the perfect wedding dress, the perfect combo of colors in the flowers to the gorgeous venue and the beautiful bride and handsome groom, this wedding just had it ALL!  And, wow!  Dao and Q can dance!  I love seeing couples who have fun with one another and just know how to have a good time.  Seeing them do a special dance that they planned together was just pretty awesome… They danced to the song from "Dirty Dancing" (if you don't know that movie, you're just very young hehe), and it brought so many memories of the 80s and the 90s.  Dao & Q danced away and did a great job at it too!  Guys, thank you for so much for the most wonderful time, and I hope you guys had the time of your lives (get it?  from the song..) at your honeymoon.  You well deserved the best trip!  It was great working with you both… to be able to capture your wedding was an honor!
