Caleb & Victoria... I met both of these amazing individuals through our youth ministry. Caleb played the drums, and Victoria served through Master's Commission. When I heard they started dating, what great news this was! I never knew they even had interest in one another, so it was very sweet to see them together, and of course, when their engagement was announced, we knew that it was going to be BEST wedding ever! But, then we heard another news... news that you don't hear everyday. News that are so hard to believe.... News that make your whole community come together. An accident occurred to Caleb last year while he was trying to help someone on the road. A kind act that shattered his leg... so badly that it got amputated. It was very tragic, but the greater testimony was how they handled it and overcame and are still overcoming the challenges and rejoicing in them at the same time. This couple has inspired so many about how to love unconditionally and before their marriage has even begun, their love for one another has been so inspiring and admirable. Their faith is like solid rock... Nothing can shake them. Because of these circumstances, we had to postpone some planning, and when I got to meet them to talk about their wedding day and photography, I just couldn't believe the journey that they have already gone through and how incredible their future is going to be. It made me reflect on my marriage as well and how we really need to be thankful for each day... you really never know what tomorrow may bring. We're so honored to be photographing their upcoming wedding next month and are so grateful that they are excited for us to capture the memories even more so because our girl is going to be their flower girl! I love people who love pictures! Phuong is definitely one of them... We did two sessions with this family in only few months... You may remember her beautiful daughter and handsome boy from our previous blog. I mean, how can you not remember?? They are just so cute and adorable! I love how this family interact with one another. It's just amazing to see families laugh and smile, having fun and justing going with the moment. The best part was all of us having a quick donut at Tie Dye 4 Bakery after it was all done. MMMMMMM…… Donuts! :)

A.J. + JUSTIN ENGAGEMENT PORTRAITS//DRUMMERS ALWAYS GET THE GIRL

I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I HEARD OF AJ'S AND JUSTIN'S ENGAGEMENT! CAN YOU TELL? HUH, HUH? :) My wife and I were so happy to hear of this great news... but, when we heard that they wanted to book with us, I was just stoked and yes, honored... I've known AJ & Justin about 10 years now and let me just say that we have many memories together. The good, the bad, the sad and the glad... Many things can happen in a decade! I went to school with Justin, roomed with him and now work with him. He is very passionate and just full of character and personality. And, AJ? I go way back with her too! She was one of the first person I met when I came to the good ole US of A (yes, I'm Canadian), and I was thankful that I got to meet such a wonderful person. I soon met her whole family... the Lawrence Family! Then, I kept meeting her family... there were so many of them! :) And, each one of them had such a talent especially in music. And, let me tell ya.... It's some serious talent, and so it's so surprise that she's marrying a musician as good as Justin. He's one of the best drummers I know. Her family are all so friendly, bright, and just simply fun to be around. Now, with all those things combined as a couple, you can imagine the power this unity has! When we met for their engagement shoot, IT WAS COLD! I'm from Canada, but being in the south has really made me southern, and I just can't take the cold too well anymore. But, did that get in their way? Um... NO. They were just one of those people who really knew how to pose naturally, and just enjoy one another. All I had to do was capture it and just have fun. We all just couldn't stop laughing, laughing, and yeah, laughing. AJ & Justin, you guys are truly awesome, and once again, I'm VERY happy for you both and can't wait for your wedding and to witness what your future marriage holds. LESLIE + BRANDON// STONE MOUNTAIN ENGAGEMENT PORTRAITS

One of the reasons why I love ATL is that a stone mountain is near by... I mean, how many people have a stone mountain in their city??? But, this visit to Stone Mt had a special reason... A reason I believe in - L.O.V.E.! And, Leslie and Brandon have just that between them, and because of that, it was just so natural to photograph this special time in their lives... their engagement! And, what better location than the place where Brandon proposed?!!! I remember being engaged to my wife 7 years ago (WOW! I can't believe it's been that long!), so I can definitely relate to how sentimental this time is. A time where you anticipate in marrying someone and growing old with that person for the rest of your life is definitely a special feeling. As you can see, Leslie and Brandon just got the look... their trendy style is just unmatchable. But more than anything, you can really feel what they feel for one another, and as always, pictures show it! And just so you know... their love was so strong that snow came down in ATL before Christmas! Imagine that! :) We then headed to "No Excuses Cross Fit" gym which is the place where they first met. Fitness is very important to this couple! They take it seriously, and I love that about them... Hm... Maybe my wife and I can join??? :) Hm.... maybe that will be my new year's resolution... :) Ha! Thanks for the positive health influence, guys! You guys were both such a a blast to get to know and hang out with. Have the Merriest Christmas and the Happy 2012! Your wedding is going to be just perfect!

Having two girls of my own, I now understand how precious it is to have a baby... So, when I heard about Kevin's new baby boy, I was so excited to do a photo shoot for them! It's so miraculous to see new life and to be able to capture this special time in the Raxter's family's life, was an honor for me. Babies are just priceless... they are just too cute!!!! OWEN DOL// 1ST BIRTHDAY PARRRRRTAAY!

I know you guys have all heard how much I love Korean traditions already, but sorry.... I have to say it again! :) I love Korean traditions especially Chut Dol's! Celebrating any birthday is very special to me, but celebrating a baby's 1st birthday is just too precious especially when it's Korean style. ;) Zenia & Phil's son, Owen, is just the cutest, and they did an incredible job with all the details and planning of this day. I love their creativity... Going to these dol's are making me sooo excited about our baby's upcoming chut dol in January as well. One of my favorite parts of the Korean culture is their traditional costumes. They are so colorful and simply beautiful. The great part was that Owen got to wear a chinese outfit as well. (lucky guy) As you're about to see in the pics, this fam is just so in love with one another and are the sweetest! Zenia and Phil, congrats on your first year with your baby... may there be countless years to come!

I got so excited when my wife told me that her cousin wanted some family pictures from us... My wife has always told me the best things about her cousin, Ashleigh.... how she has always looked up to her since she was little, and how she just wanted to be like her! Everything Ashleigh did was "cool"... She was the reason why she even chose to go to GA Tech to pursue her college dreams. She just had to do what Ashleigh did.... It's funny how with many friends around me, it's all about GA Bulldogs, but in my wife's family, you can't even mention UGA because it's all about the GA Tech Yellow Jackets! Ha! Well, I got to really spend some time with Ashleigh and her awesome fam for the first time, and let me tell you... they really are cool! They are one of the sweetest families I've met, and their son is the bomb! He was so cooperative and I really think he has a great potential in modeling. Fall has been one of the best times for me. Being able to enjoy days with families and seeing how much fun they have just taking a few pics definitely is one of the reasons why…. This family is especially great because it was one of my wife's best friends family. :) Yuni and Jimmy have some amazing kids! One of the coolest things is to get out of the car only to be met with a huge hug by JJ and a cute little smile by Jules. JENNIFER + JUSTIN// THE GOLDEN LEAVES OF PIEDMONT

You know that love is in the air when the leaves change color. And piedmont park had plenty of amazing trees. But we still needed to add the awesome couple to make the shoot complete and that is where Jennifer and Justin came in. I met this fun couple months ago at a Starbucks. They walked in with giant smiles on their faces. Talking about how they met just made me want to go back and ask my wife to marry me all over again. The weather was perfect. They were all ready for their close ups. :) By the end of the shoot, I think we walked across the park twice and that is no easy feat!

One thing I love about my job is meeting wonderful families. Seeing parents who love and are devoted to their children is very touching. Well, Hannah and Young are one of those parents... They dearly love their two boys, and their dedication is clearly seen. My wife has known them since waaaay back, and she has always spoken of them so kindly, so I just knew that this photo shoot was going to be awesome! CHARLOTTE'S 1ST//IT'S DOHL TIME:)

When I met my wife, I also met another culture. A culture that is filled with such fun traditions... I love the Korean culture! Who wouldn't? Now that we have two kids, I've grown to love how Koreans celebrate 1st birthdays. History says that the mortality rate for children in Korea was high and many did not survive to see their first birthday. So, for generations, it became a very significant and important milestone to the Koreans and a reason to celebrate and to celebrate BIG! And BIG it was... Charlotte's dohl was just planned so well, and let me tell you... her parents, Sara & Young, did an outstanding job! Every detail and the thought that went behind it was just impressive. Because my wife and I personally have planned one of these for our older daughter and have just began planning one for our younger daughter, I have learned to appreciate the planning part. ;) Charlotte's hanbok (Korean traditional dress) was just gorgeous, and what can I say? Everything just turned out perfect! More than anything, I loved how all their family and friends who dearly loved them were there to share this joyous day and to celebrate Charlotte's life. After all... that's what it's all about, LOVE. Sara & Young, you have such a beautiful daughter, and we hope that there are many, many, many more birthdays to come for her and for your family! We had a great time... Thx for feeding all of us such awesome food and for the great time! Special thanks to Kate Schlueter and Janet Ogidi for all the great help.

Yun Mi & James… Let me start by saying that they are one of the most fun couple ever. Every time I meet them, smiles are all I see on their faces, and laughter is just the way they responded to everything. Their genuine love and respect for one another is so apparently shown through the way they treat each other and their family and friends. Being able to capture their most important day of their lives was truly an honor for me… From the beginning, I just knew that their wedding was just going to be a blast, and as expected, it simply was. They planned every detail so well and their desire to celebrate this day was felt throughout the wedding. I loved everything they picked out…. from the flowers, to the venue, the cake, ice cream, cupcakes, decor, shoes, and of course, THE DRESS! Their trendy style was influenced in every decision of this wedding, and we just loved it! Not just that… even the guests! Melissa and my wife go way back to their college days... They went to the same church together, and actually, that's where they met. After a lot of memories together with mutual friends, I came in the picture when I started dating my wife. 'Til this day after more than ten years later, my wife still only speaks of good things of Melissa and the big heart that she continually has for others. We now both have families of our own and are still good friends... When I heard that she was interested in us photographing her cutie patootie baby, I was so honored and ecstatic! This family really defines "a happy family", and as you'll see below, their daughter is definitely a one in a million. She's absolutely adorable, and I just love her style! DOSHANDRA + ROBERT WEDDING// SAVANNAH RAPIDS PAVILION

All I can say right now about these two is how amazing it was to be there for their Holy day. There was such a peace in the air being in the room with Doshandra and her friends. She was quiet and calm. It just seemed that she knew that in a few hours she would be in a whole different chapter in her life writing new things as she followed her handsome man. The ceremony was spectacular and the entire bridal party were some of the best people I have ever met. Here is the funny part that I forgot to mention about the entire day. Up until the night before, I knew the wedding was in Augusta but I had no idea that it was only a mile down the road from my mother-in-law's house. I drive by that church all the time and wanted to go inside and see. Now I had that opportunity and It was the best occasion to visit:)Robert was also a trip. Great to get along with and you would have no idea that his life was about to change. Like I said earlier, there was such a peace everywhere that day. He just kept on smiling:)

It was cold and windy on a Sunday afternoon... You'd think the weather wasn't the greatest, but Susana's family can make anything fun and happy. It was not that long ago that I met these two down in Atlantic Station for coffee. They were super bubbly in love. Next thing you know the wedding day was here. Chelsey and her girls could not be more happy. Their tears kept flowing and ladies you know what I am talking about! Once Chelsey put that dress on she was the princess that she always dreamed of being. And her prince was waiting super patiently.

What an awesome time it was just being with them throughout that day. It was perfect weather with the warm sun shining down on their ceremony. To top it off we had the greatest country rave ever!

The love was in the air for Dexter & Quiana as they watched their little one become a baby model and changed her adorable outfits for different scenes. Well a while ago there was a women's conference and they were looking for prizes for their giveaways. My wife and I gladly decided to donate a portrait session as part of the prizes. And Sandra was the lucky winner! I am so glad she won too. Her and her son Demetrie were so much fun to be around. He loves and respects her more then any son I have ever met. And she loves her son with all her heart and it showed all throughout the afternoon. It made me want to rush back to Canada to visit my family again:)

I know I've said this before, but I just love Korean traditions.... Yes, I know I'm biased because I have a beautiful Korean wife, but I just love it! In Korea, when a baby is 100 days old and 1 year old, it calls for a HUGE celebration! It's a significant milestone... Well, when we received an inquiry to do Luke's 100 days pictures, I was so ecstatic! Luke was just oh so stinkin' cute! His parents are so lovable, and I just love seeing parents who are just absolutely in love with their child. It's definitely precious, and I'm honored to capture those precious moments. Soon I would be shooting their wedding and It was bound to be over the top awesome! Just knowing that they were going to get married at Roswell UMC and rock it out later at Capital City Club!
That day she and her friends had a cool time getting ready and goofing around. Those are the best types of friends:) The guys were just the same with jokes and pointers for marriage. Things all of us guys need.
The annticipation was amazing! Jami could not stop talking about seeing Justin. Once their eyes met the day would go from great to spectacular. They love each other so much and it showed through the whole night. Dancing, partying and just being with each other at every moment. Not once was their a frown on either of their faces. He would keep checking her out in her stunning dress and she with his super sharp good looks:)

KRISTINA + TRENT//CHICAGO COUNTRY & DOWNTOWN LOVE

How cool is it to go to the windy city to shoot engagement pics? Well let me tell you:) AMAZING! First let me give you the back story.
I met Kristina and Trent at Kristina's families portrait session last year. After shooting all day with her fam she said her "super hot" boyfriend was going to show up. I decided to take a few pics of them and the rest is history. I knew when I saw them together that day that they were in love. a week or two later they were engaged! A year later we are in Chicago shooting their engagement pics!
What an great time it was. 30 mins into being into Chicago my assistant (Jonas) and I decided to park in the city at a spot he knew, eat and take a bit of a tour. I guess we parked in the wrong spot because we got back to the car and it was gone! Long story short a few hours and $240 later I got my rental car back. The next day was our shoot.
Kristina and Trent had a list with outfits, jewelry and everything you could imagine! We shot all day and they never stopped laughing together. Just getting them to be serious at times was tough. But thats what is so great about love. Always making the other person smile and enjoy the time they have with each other for the rest of their lives.
We shot a lot in the country then later in the evening made our way to the city. Every location stoping for trent to get something to eat;) By the end of the night we were pooped. The last shot a bit of a bust because the cops told us to get out and that the park by the water was closed. We did manage to snap off one before he got to us (at the end of the pics).
Thanks so much guys for your hospitality and I can't wait till the big day. I'm just glad it won't be as windy!

MIKA AND GUY// I'M READY FOR MY CLOSE-UP!

Last year I had the opportunity to shoot Guy and Mika. It was a awesome! This year, we had the same opportunity, yet Mika was now another year more ready for her close-up. Man, can she work the camera! She even wanted a BMW in the shot! Super shiny! Then off to Piedmont... And wow it was hot outside. I think Mika needed her own trailer at one point. :) You were both great... Guy & Mika, deserves a treat!

YUN MI + JAMES ENGAGEMENT// A NIGHT AROUND ATL

Yun Mi & James... where do I start? Well, my wife and Yun Mi's sister are friends, and so that's definitely how we got to know each other. My wife talked about her a lot especially when she shared about the times that all three of them used to do Korean folk dances together. I've seen many pictures of them in their traditional Korean costumes, and I just so wish that I knew them back then! Fast forward several years, after marrying my wife, I remember one day running into Yun Mi & James at Ikea! (One of my favorite places...) One of the things that I noticed was how tall they were! But more than anything, I remember how fun and kind they were too. They were one of those couples where you just knew that they were meant for one another. So, I wasn't surprised when I heard that they got engaged.... we were just so happy for them. We were even happier and felt honored when they asked us to be a part of their wedding by being their photographers! It really is a privilege to be able to capture one of the most happiest and important days of someone's life. I had such a wonderful time during their consultation meeting, and there's just no word to describe the fun that we had at their engagement session. They were up for anything, and "anything" is what we did. :) Yun Mi & James, thanks for the wonderful time, and we hope that you really enjoy the pictures. I just cannot wait for your wedding. It's going to be the bomb diggity!

SAMANTHA + KYLE// HOME SWEET HOME.

I was so honored when I found out that Samantha and her fiancé, Kyle, wanted me to capture their wedding. Especially since Kyle serves in the military. It's always a privilege to serve those who serve our country. It's even better when they are soooo much fun to hang with like they were for their engagement session. We drove out to her father's property north of Gwinnett and it was so awesome. Their farm reminded my home in Canada. She was so excited and he even more so. We just had a blast. The best part was running through a field of hundreds of field spiders only to encounter 3 bill goats who looked like they wanted to end our fun streak. :) Samantha & Kyle, thank you for a great time… I just can't wait for your wedding!

When I met Jessica for the first time to talk about her wedding, one thing that I learned about her was that she loves sunflowers, and something she likes to do is taking pictures! A great combo... But, there's nothing above the love that she has for Wayne, now her husband. Their wedding was on a nice Spring day in May, and it was just absolutely beautiful. So, I met Wanda when my wife was pregnant with our Elli whose now 6 months old... She was one of our midwives and a good one too! My wife met her during college days, but didn't get to connect with her 'til now. And, how great this connection has been. They were pregnant together, and it was the cutest thing. There's just something about a pregnant woman. They were due around the same time, but my wife had Elli first then Wanda had hers and we heard the news through facebook. (How did we ever live before facebook??!) As they became friends through facebook and shared things about having new babies, Wanda one day contacted us about taking their family photos. We were so stoked! Her and her husband, Danny, are blessed with the cutest boy in the world, Zachary! As you'll see, he is just to die for! I so wish I had his hair! :) Love, love, love.... is all I can say about this family. We took all the photos in their beautiful home, and the pictures will speak for themselves. They are such a happy family, and we wish them only the best. They are so down to earth, humorous, lovable people, and we're thankful to know this family and more than anything that we're becoming friends. Jeon's, thank you for everything!

CHELSEY + KARLTON ENGAGEMENT//SECOND SHOOTS THE CHARM

We had to have two rounds of Chelsey & Karlton's engagement shoot.... why, you ask? We got rained out for the first one.... the weather man was way off. We did not expect that much rain! Oh my.... it almost flooded! But, that was the best 30 minutes ever. Wow! They were such a fun couple. I've never met a couple that laughed so much together... I see such a bright future ahead of them. So, as you can imagine, I was quite disappointed when we had to cancel that day, but was so excited that I got to hang out with them again. We made sure that there was no rain in sight, and booked another shoot. Once again, I had a wonderful time, and let me tell you... their laughs are so contagious! I love the outdoors and family sessions on an early morning. The Phillips family showed up with the most well behaved boys I have ever met! Brady and Orion were absolutely a blast to hang out and play with. Mom and Dad, you should be very proud! We played, jumped, ran and had more fun than a barrel of monkeys. ;) It's great to have a family who smiles as much as they do. I LOVE MY WIFES MUG:) LOL

I love surprising my wife and last week we went on a date. HAHAHA! She thought we were going to go to the movies but instead I had planned on going to paint pottery at Discover Mills Mall. It great! We each found a mug for the other and painted each others favorite things on it and things to encourage one another. We had to wait a week just to get them back but it was definitely worth it. I just picked them up literally 10 mins ago, drove home and now I am sharing a bit of our love for each other with you all:)
Sweet heart you are the very best thing that has ever happened to me and maybe next time we can paint some plates for milk and cookies;)
Now I just have to keep the mugs away from the kids.

Now, Cheryl, Wes and I have some awesome stories together. Falling in the canal is one of them. The other one is watching them fall in love all over again on their wedding day. She walked in with her eyes glowing during their first time seeing each other on that day. Wes of course played it cool but you knew he could not wait to see her! The whole day, the sun shinned outside the venue and inside their hearts. :) Cheryl and her bridesmaids had more fun than I thought would be possible while getting ready. And of course, there's no word to describe the great time that Wes and his guys had. Congratulations again, guys... You guys were super fun!

We decided to shoot early in the morning to avoid the heat. When I met Sara & Young, they were all ready to go but better yet their gorgeous baby girl, Charlotte! Even though it was getting warm fast, we knew that it was going to be a blast. Every place we went, they kept laughing and having fun. My favorite times! I cannot tell you how much I love capturing the moments that parents have with their little ones! The smirks, the crying, the laughing, and most importantly, the love. :) Chang family, you for sure are an amazing family and you have a wonderful little girl.
